Basecamp keeps its product deliberately simple. Connecting Claude lets your team ask questions across projects, summarise discussions and draft updates without changing how Basecamp itself works.

Can Claude post updates or add to-dos in Basecamp?

It can, depending on how Helm sets up access for your team. Many teams start with read access for summaries and add posting once they are comfortable.

Is it safe to connect Basecamp to Claude?

Yes, when it's set up properly. Helm agrees with you what Claude can see and do, uses the narrowest permissions Basecamp allows, and keeps everything under your own accounts.

Does this work with ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot?

Often, yes. Most modern connections use MCP, an open standard that ChatGPT and Copilot Studio also support. We'll confirm what's possible for Basecamp on the call.
